Purposive professional work is strengthened if ethics are part of individual self awareness and there is commitment. The organization can therefore be reflected in a shared understanding of language, cultural life and values.

Practising form drawing we will explore changes in our own consciousness during this activity. We will look at aspects of consciousness in the cultural development of humanity, child development and the Waldorf curriculum.
Maria van den Berg is a physician and college teacher with 33 years of experience; Veerle Halbertsma is a curative teacher and college teacher. Both work at the Camphill Community Glencraig in Northern Ireland.

We want to start from the theme of each morning‘s talk, look at the life spheres of children and young people in selected cases, to gain better understanding of their behaviour. We will then discuss in the group how relationships to them can be effectively developed.

Michael Gehrke, Gabriele Scholtes. Collaboration with parents and family – understanding and coping with conflict, help with clarification
In this workshop we give some of the theory about the origin and development of conflict situations. Most of the time will, however, be devoted to working through some actual issues. The work has supervisory aspects and phases of consultation among colleagues.
Michael Gehrke is the business manager of the community at Kehna and a supervisor; Gabriele Scholtes has a diploma in curative education,  is head of the residential part of the same community, and editor of the journal Seelenpflege.

Is there a point to introducing vowels and consonants to children (with the most severe disabilities) who may never learn to read? What might initial teaching of classic ‚R and R‘ in heterogeneous classes in curative education actually look like? Using examples from practice, light is thrown both on the factual study of man and on the basics of suitable didactics.
Sabine Bulk is teacher in special education and has been class teacher at the Christophorus School in Bochum from 1994, and from 2004 onwards also lecturing at the Institute of Curative Education Teacher Training in Witten-Annen (didactics/methodology and speech development) and head of school practice in training.
